Course Description

This course provides the knowledge and hands-on experience required to build flexible and dynamic web applications. Fundamental concepts and contemporary techniques of web site development and authoring will be explored.

In the first phase of the course, common methods and structures of web site development will be taught through Macromedia Dreamweaver. In the second phase, students will gain a solid understanding of basic ActionScript concepts like functions, conditional statements, variables, array structures, data integration and run-time graphics.

Besides lectures and in-class exercises, discussions on contemporary web directions and common practices will be encouraged during the semester.
