Take Home Final Project

MORE INFORMATION AVAILABLE AT http://160.75.53.220/cd404   For the final project, you are required work in groups of TWO and design a fully-functional coorporate web site which; will have ONE main page and FOUR sub-pages, will include at least and at most ONE .swf banner with animation (fade in/out, move right to left, etc.), will have at least ONE .htm document, all design elements and content will be your own production, will use an external .css file as stylesheet for .htm files.

BRIEF You may design an imaginary corporate site, a personal portfolio site or a conceptual site around a theme;. it’s all up to you! But unlike previous exams/assignments you are required to consider the look and feel of the site as well as it’s functionality.

SUBMISSION Your main page’s file name must be “index.htm” (not .html) otherwise the site will not work. the site and all files will be uploaded to each group’s dedicated disk space on machine 160.75.53.220 In order to upload the files, you need to set-up filezilla(PC) or fetch(MAC), Using either fliezilla or fetch, you need to provide the address of the hosting machine (160.75.53.220), user name (cd404_1, cd404_2..etc.) and a password (i will provide one). Sometimes those FTP programs also ask for a port number, in that case the number is “21″. after uploading the files test your site from http://160.75.53.220/cd404/ by clicking on your group ID#.

DEADLINE On 25.05.2007 Friday there will be an in-class, on-line presentation using the http://160.75.53.220/cd404/ site at 14:00. You need to transfer your files at least ONE hour before the presentation. Your final and over-all grades will be anounced at 17:00 same day.
